Bald Eagle, Florida Live Cam

The nest of this eagle is situated on privately owned land, which also functions as a modest cattle ranch, adjacent to a significant state park in the southwestern region of Florida. A community called Eagle Country comprises individuals who have a deep affection for God, care for His creation, and hold a particular fondness for eagles. The ranch has been passed down through generations in the family, while the eagle nest has existed on the property for approximately two decades. The eagles, Victoria and Nicholas—often lovingly referred to as Vic and Nic—are not named after any daytime television characters; rather, these names simply feel fitting for them. They have been nesting here since 2001. Their first nest, along with the tree it resided in, was destroyed by Hurricane Irma after 16 years. They subsequently constructed a new nest in a nearby tree, which sadly succumbed to an unusual storm on December 21, 2018. The nest currently visible was rebuilt by the eagles shortly thereafter, in December 2018.
