A live streaming webcam captures the nest of a pair of bald eagles nestled in California's Big Bear Valley. This camera enables real-time viewing of the birds. It focuses on the first-ever active bald eagle nest in this area, featuring a solar-powered camera and sound system that operates around the clock. The nest, located within the San Bernardino National Forest, has been active since the fall of 2013. To safeguard the eagles during their nesting period, the surrounding area is closed to visitors, as disturbances from humans can lead bald eagles to abandon their nests. Traditionally, these majestic birds only visited Big Bear Valley in the winter to access essential food sources like waterfowl and fish, which were scarce in the frozen lakes further north. However, a breeding pair has recently chosen to stay year-round. Notably, in 2012, the first documented bald eagle chick was hatched in Big Bear Valley and was successfully raised to fledging. The live nest broadcast is available in stunning Full HD.
