A live webcam offers a real-time, close-up view of the iconic cruiser "Aurora," currently docked at the Petrogradskaya Embankment along the Bolshaya Nevka River in Saint Petersburg. Recognized as the most renowned museum ship, the Aurora stands as a major attraction in the Northern capital. This cruiser played a significant role in both the Russo-Japanese War and World War I. A blank shot fired from the Aurora marked the beginning of the assault on the Winter Palace, establishing it as a symbol of the October Revolution. At the onset of the Great Patriotic War, the cruiser was stationed in Oranienbaum and became part of the air defense system in Kronstadt. As the German forces advanced towards Leningrad, Aurora had to disarm, yet endured ongoing bombardment until the blockade of Leningrad was finally lifted. Today, the cruiser "Aurora" is affiliated with the Central Naval Museum and is recognized as a cultural heritage site of Russia.
