Peregrine Falcon nest, Ede, Netherlands Live Cam

A live-streaming camera has been set up in a peregrine falcon nest located in Ede, providing a real-time glimpse into the lives of these remarkable birds. This nest is situated atop the tallest historic chimney in the Netherlands, which stands at 85 meters high, specifically at the former ENKA site in Gelderland. During the ENKA chimney's restoration in 2020, a dedicated birdhouse was added to the structure. Prior to the restoration, peregrine falcons had already made their homes at the top of the chimney, and their presence was well-documented. The restoration rendered the original nesting locations unusable for breeding, prompting the installation of a spacious birdhouse on the chimney, complete with a live webcam to observe the falcons’ activities.
