Plaza Baquedano, Santiago Live Cam

This live view of the city is brought to you from Santiago, the vibrant capital of Chile. The HD webcam captures Plaza Baquedano, which is also referred to as Plaza Italia. At the center of the roundabout is the statue of General Manuel Jesús Baquedano González, a notable war hero and politician from the 19th century. To the left, you can admire another striking monument known as the Monumento al Genio de la Libertad (Monument to the Genius of Freedom), which was installed here during Chile’s centennial celebrations in September 1910. Since the onset of protests in October 2019, this prominent square has often been called Plaza Dignidad (Dignity Square). Additionally, the view includes several key streets of Santiago, the Mapocho River on the left, and the entrance to Baquedano metro station on the right.
