The Port of Los Angeles Webcam provides an excellent opportunity to experience the LA Waterfront from your own device, offering an unparalleled view. Known as America's Port, this extensive port complex spans 7,500 acres across 43 miles of waterfront and is adjacent to the Port of Long Beach. Located in San Pedro Bay, it sits within the San Pedro and Wilmington areas of Los Angeles, roughly 20 miles south of the downtown area. The Port of Los Angeles is a hub for imports including furniture, footwear, electronics, automobile parts, and clothing. In terms of exports, it primarily handles wastepaper, cotton, resins, animal feed, and scrap metal. Key trading partners for the port include China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam. To ensure safety, the Port of Los Angeles employs the Los Angeles Port Police for law enforcement, the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) for firefighting and emergency medical services, the U.S. Coast Guard for security on the waterways, and Homeland Security to safeguard federal properties. Additionally, lifeguard services for the open waters outside the harbor are provided by the Los Angeles County Lifeguards, while inner Cabrillo Beach is watched over by lifeguards from the Los Angeles City Recreation & Parks Department.
