A great way to experience the surrounding volcanic landscape is by walking the Nagisa Lava Trail, which extends 3 kilometers and was created by the lava flow from the eruption in 1914. At the foot of the volcano, on a peninsula, visitors can enjoy a soothing foot bath at Sakurajima Volcanic Shore Park, an observation deck called Yunohira View Place, and the Sakurajima Nature Dinosaur Park, among other attractions.
