Sanctuary, Ponta Delgada Live Cam

Experience the beauty of the altar at the Santuário do Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres, dedicated to Christ of Miracles. This sanctuary is located in Ponta Delgada, the capital of the Azores archipelago in Portugal, and is found on São Miguel Island. At this site, within the Convent of Our Lady of Hope, you can observe a striking Renaissance depiction of Ecce Homo. Each year, on the fifth Sunday following Easter, the wooden representation of Christ is paraded through the streets of Ponta Delgada in a Roman Catholic procession, a tradition recognized as one of the oldest religious observances in Portugal.
