A live webcam captures a nest of white-tailed eagles in Hungary's Danube-Ipoly National Park. This camera offers a glimpse into the daily lives of a pair of white-tailed eagles. The setup was completed in a riparian forest located within the jurisdiction of the Danube-Ipoly National Park Directorate. Once nearly eradicated in Hungary during the mid-20th century due to riverbed modifications, their numbers dwindled to just 15 breeding pairs. Thankfully, conservation initiatives have positively impacted their population, which has now risen to approximately 200 breeding pairs and continues to grow. Despite legal protections, threats such as illegal poisoning and uninsulated power lines still pose significant dangers to these birds. Additionally, they are highly sensitive to human disturbances; the area around their nest requires complete serenity from December through July. The eagles sometimes lay their eggs in December, with the young typically leaving the nest between June and July. The live stream from the white-tailed eagle nest in Danube-Ipoly National Park broadcasts in real-time and high-definition (HD).
