A webcam provides a real-time view of the Colima volcano in Mexico, noted as the country's most active volcano, with over 40 recorded eruptions since 1576. Situated in the state of Jalisco within the Volcanic Sierra, Colima is located 80 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean. It features two conical peaks: the tallest, Nevado de Colima, stands at 4,625 meters as an extinct volcano that is typically snow-covered for much of the year. The other peak, known as Colima or Volcán de Fuego de Colima ("Fire Volcano"), rises to 3,846 meters and is often referred to as the Mexican Vesuvius. The lava produced here has a basaltic composition.
