Weather and time
A live webcam provides real-time footage of the active Kilauea volcano situated on the Hawaiian island. The volcano's name, Kilauea, translates to "spewing" or "splashing out." This camera enables viewers to witness volcanic eruptions from a secure vantage point. Kilauea has an elevation of 1,247 meters above sea level and is positioned to the southeast of the taller Mauna Loa. The volcano features numerous lateral craters and several parasitic cinder cones from which lava can flow. The Kilauea webcam operates in high definition and broadcasts continuously, allowing viewers to monitor eruptions at any hour of the day. Among the largest craters of Kilauea are Puu-Oo, Haelemaumau, Kilauea-Iki (also known as Little Kilauea), and Macaoopu-hee. As the youngest land volcano in Hawaii, Kilauea is also recognized as one of the most active volcanoes in the world.
