A live webcam offers real-time views of the eruption occurring at the Geldingadalir volcano on Mount Fagradalsfjall in Iceland. This camera allows viewers to observe the volcanic activity, situated in the heart of the Reykjanes Peninsula, about 30 kilometers southwest of Reykjavik. Surrounding the Geldingadalir volcano are barren volcanic landscapes and lush mountain meadows. The closest town, Nyardvik, is located 14.7 kilometers to the northwest. The webcam captured its first image during the volcanic eruption that commenced on March 19, 2021, when the volcano began releasing streams of molten lava. Prior to this event, the area was marked by a series of minor earthquakes.
